We're excited to welcome your child and family into our community. PSM serves students in Early Childhood all the way through grade 12 here in Muscat. Applications are accepted throughout the year, and our Admissions staff are here to guide you through the process and smooth transition to PSM.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. School Leaving Certificate from Previous Institution (for class II and above).

2. Character Certificate from Previous Institution.

3. Birth Certificate (2 Copies for KG’s classes only).

4. Photocopies of passport of student, father, mother (or Guardian) including valid visa page (2 Copies).

5. Resident card of student, father, mother (or Guardian) including valid visa page (2 Copies).

6. Six recent passport size photographs.

7. Passing the entry test.

8. Personal interview with students and his/her parents.

9. Irrespective of admission date, fee will be charged with effect from the date of school leaving certificate (for Class II & above).

10. Copy of Electricity Bill.

11. Immunization Certificate.

PROCEDURE & ELIGIBILITY

1. Student seeking admission shall have to produce all documents mentioned in the admission criteria.

2. The suitability of a student to be admitted to a certain class shall be determined through admission test. The school leaving certificate (SLC) brought from Pakistani or any other institution /place does not provide a guarantee for admission in the class in which the student was studying according to SLC.

3. The syllabus for admission test can be obtained from the Academic Cell/ school office.

4. Students shall be tested in English, Maths, Science and Urdu.

5. Student seeking admission shall be interviewed along with the parents/ guardians by relevant coordinator or admission department.

6. After a student qualifies admission test, the parents/guardians shall fill up the proper admission form and complete other formalities. Methods of payment will be explained by the school office/ accounts office.

7. The first fee slip will include charges for admission fees and one month’s tuition fee and other incidental charges (if applicable).

8. Since this is an English medium school, a student seeking admission should have a workable knowledge of English.

9. For admission in class KG-I, the minimum age of the student should be 4+ (years) .

▪️ Admission to class I - VIII :

a. Must obtain at least 40% marks in English, Mathematics & Urdu.

b. Admission to class P-I, P-II and P-III (CLSP) minimum 60% marks are required in the admission test to join CLSP.

▪️ Admission to class IX :

a. For Science Group the applicant has to obtain minimum 60% marks in class VIII examination.

b. Students obtaining below 60% marks are offered Arts Group. Minimum pass marks are 40%.

▪️ Admission to IGCSE Class :

a. Minimum 60% marks (in P-III result or in admission test) are required to join IGCSE classes.

▪️ Admission to class XI :

a. The applicant who obtains above 60% marks in SSC examination is eligible to seek admission in Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering group. For admission to Commerce and General Science Groups at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in mathematics are required. Those scoring below 50% marks can seek admission in Humanities group. Eligibility Criteria for ICS - 55% marks in SSC examination.

▪️ Admission to A’ Level class :

a. Subject to passing in at least 5(five) IGCSE subjects with minimum ‘C’ grade.

10. A student who fails in annual house examination shall seek re-admission in the same class.

11. In case of student obtaining School Leaving Certificate before annual house examination, travels to Pakistan or homeland and gets promoted there; he/she shall have to undergo admission test while seeking re-admission as per normal procedure.

12. A student migrating from a Pakistan School/College in case of Board classes may not appear in an admission test. However, a migration Certificate/NOC from the concerned Board is required.

13. School/College leaving Certificate, Registration Card (photocopy) and Character Certificate should be submitted in case of class IX or higher classes. Certificates showing passing the previous class issued by the concerned Board should also be attached.
