HISTORY
OF PAKISTAN SCHOOL MUSCAT
Pakistan
school Muscat was established in a rented flat in Muscat in 1975, as a
result of a decision made in the first meeting of Pakistani Culture Centre.
Efforts, spearheaded by Mr. & Mrs. S. M. Shafi, were made to collect
funds and as a result of the tireless endeavors, the school was shifted
to its present spacious campus (about 9000 m2) in February 1981. The first
batch of students appeared for SSC and H.S.S.C examination in 1983 and
1985 respectively. The year 1986 saw the construction of a mosque on the
school campus and also witnessed the establishment of science laboratories.
The school library was established in 1993 and the Junior Block was added
to the school building in 1997. PSM is affiliated with FBISE Islamabad
and also with EDEXCEL INTERNATIONAL, London, while a beautifully constructed
new Junior Block with ten more rooms has become functional from the year
2004.
Through
all these years Pakistan School Muscat has evolved itself into an institution
of repute. With its four branches at Salalah, Sohar, Musana and Nizwa,
Pakistan School Muscat is striving hard for excellence in all fields of
knowledge and learning, by providing the best facilities to teachers and
the taught through the optimum utilization of the available resources,
a glimpse of which can be seen while browsing through the pages of the
school website.
